Why Choose Our Dojo
PARTNERS
SENSEI
COMMUNITY and ADVENTURE
We are affiliated with the So-Kyokushin United Kingdom, which operates under the guidance of its headquarters in Japan. This means your training follows authentic Kyokushin standards set by Japanese masters, and your belts and certificates are officially recognised within the federation system.
Fatima Erkenova, our sensei and a 4th Dan black belt, brings over 15 years of coaching experience. Under her guidance, students have not only learned strong, traditional karate, but have also achieved success at regional and international competitions. Her teaching combines discipline, care and attention to each student, helping you progress at your own pace while continually challenging yourself.
At Life Karate you join a friendly adult community, not just a training group. Alongside regular classes, you can take part in gradings, seminars and competitions organised through the So-Kyokushin and its Japanese headquarters, giving you a clear path from your first class to advanced levels. Whether your goal is fitness, self‑defence, or serious karate progression, you will find structure, support and a sense of adventure in our dojo.

Then £25 per class for the first month, then £80 per month (8–9 classes).

What to expect at your first class

Your first class is relaxed and welcoming. We start with a gentle warm‑up, basic movements and simple combinations so you can get a feel for Kyokushin karate at your own pace.

You don’t need any experience – just comfortable sports clothing and a bottle of water. Our sensei will ask about any injuries or limitations and will suggest safer options if needed.
Throughout the class you can ask questions, and you are free to stop or take a break whenever you need.
